Why We Work with Gaggenau

One of the questions that we’re asked time and time again when designing a kitchen is, “Which appliance brand should I choose?”

Every client lives differently. For some, the kitchen is a place to experiment, entertain and spend hours cooking. For others, it needs to perform just as well on the busiest Tuesday evening as it does on Christmas Day. Those differences shape every recommendation we make, which is why every Chamber Furniture kitchen begins with a conversation.

When it came to our new showroom display, however, specifying Gaggenau felt almost instinctive.

As the most ambitious kitchen in our showroom to date, every detail has earned its place. From the clear lacquered walnut cabinetry and Calacatta Borghini marble to the proportions, mouldings and construction behind each cabinet, it reflects the craftsmanship and technical precision that defines every project. Thus, it was only fitting that the appliances embodied those same values.

Appliances should never be an afterthought. They are as much a part of the design as the cabinetry itself, so should quietly support the overall architecture of the room rather than compete with it.

That is why for this display, we have selected the combi-steam oven, combi-microwave oven and culinary warming drawer from Gaggenau’s new minimalistic range. Finished in Sterling, the soft grey finish picks up the delicate veining in the stone, while the flush induction hob allows the worktop to remain visually uninterrupted.

It is a subtle distinction, perhaps, but one we value enormously. We believe that the most successful interiors marry form with function, where every practical decision contributes to the beauty of the finished space. It is this shared philosophy that made Gaggenau the natural choice here.

However, this does not mean it is the correct fit for every kitchen.
