Antiqued Mirror

Bars

A mirror finished to look aged, giving it a soft, weathered character. Often used to add depth and atmosphere to bar and drinks cabinetry.

Appliance Integration

Kitchen

Building ovens, fridges, wine coolers and other appliances into your cabinetry so they sit flush with the surrounding units, rather than standing apart.

Architectural Joinery

Craftsmanship

Custom woodwork built into the structure of a room itself, such as panelling, cornicing or shelving, rather than added afterwards as separate furniture.

Banquette Seating

Kitchen

Fixed, upholstered seating built into a kitchen or dining area, also known as booth or bench seating, often with storage built in underneath.

Bespoke

Craftsmanship

Made specifically for you and your home, rather than chosen from a standard range or collection.

Book-Matched Marble

Kitchen

Bars

Wine

Two marble slabs cut from the same block and placed side by side so their natural veining mirrors across the join, creating a striking, symmetrical pattern. Often used for worktops, splashbacks and feature walls.

Book-Matched Veneer

Craftsmanship

Two thin sheets of wood cut from the same piece of timber and opened out like a book, so the grain mirrors across the join.

A practical space near the entrance of a home for coats, shoes and everyday belongings, designed with the same care as the rest of the house.

Breakfast Bar

Kitchen

A casual seating area built into or alongside a kitchen island or worktop.

Burr

Craftsmanship

Wood with a distinctive, swirling grain pattern, cut from a knotted growth on a tree. Valued for its striking appearance.

Cabinetry

Craftsmanship

Built-in or fitted furniture, such as cupboards, drawers and units, made as part of a bespoke design.

Chamber Protec

Contemporary Design

A clean, modern style with simple lines and minimal detailing, for example cabinetry without visible handles.

Dovetail Joint

Craftsmanship

A traditional way of joining two pieces of wood using interlocking notches, cut so the joint holds firmly without relying on glue or fixings alone.

Dressing Room

Bedrooms

A dedicated room for clothing and accessories, fitted with wardrobes, drawers and storage designed around what you own.

Drying Area

Living & working

A space, often part of a boot room, designed for drying wet or outdoor clothing and equipment.

Flock-Lined

Bedrooms

Lined with a soft, velvet-like fabric, used inside drawers and compartments to protect delicate items such as jewellery.

Freestanding Furniture

Craftsmanship

Furniture that stands on its own within a room, rather than being fixed to the walls or floor.

French Polishing

Craftsmanship

A traditional hand-finishing technique that builds up a deep, glossy shine on wood using a natural resin called shellac.

FSC-Certified Timber

Craftsmanship

Wood sourced from forests that are responsibly managed, certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Handleless Cabinetry

Kitchen

Cabinets and drawers designed without visible handles, opened instead using a groove or a gentle push mechanism.

Integrated Handle

Kitchen

A handle built into the shape of a door or drawer front, rather than fixed on separately.

Integrated Refrigeration

Wine

A fridge or cooling system built into your cabinetry, either concealed completely or fitted to sit flush with the surrounding units.

Island

Kitchen

A stand-alone unit in the centre of a kitchen, providing extra worktop space, storage and often a place to sit.

Joinery

Craftsmanship

The craft of making furniture and fittings from wood, including how pieces are joined together and finished.

Media Wall

Bedrooms

Living & working

A wall of built-in cabinetry designed to hold a television and related equipment, often with the option to conceal it from view.

Pantry

Kitchen

A dedicated storage space for food and small appliances, either built into the kitchen or as a separate room.

Peninsula

Kitchen

A worktop or cabinetry unit that extends out from the kitchen but stays connected to it on one side, functioning much like an island.

Quarter-Cut Oak

Craftsmanship

Oak cut at a particular angle to reveal a straight, flecked grain pattern, prized for its distinctive appearance.

Quooker Tap

Kitchen

A tap that can dispense boiling, filtered, chilled or sparkling water from a single fitting.

Shaker Cabinetry

Bedrooms

A simple, traditional cabinet style with a recessed centre panel and a plain surrounding frame.

Spray Finishing

Craftsmanship

Applying paint or lacquer with a spray gun in a dedicated finishing area, giving a smooth, even and long-lasting surface.

Transitional Design

Craftsmanship

A style that blends modern simplicity with traditional detailing, well suited to period homes and renovations.

Veneer

Craftsmanship

A thin sheet of natural wood applied to the surface of a panel or piece of furniture, chosen for its grain and appearance.

Wine Conditioning

Keeping wine at a stable, correct temperature and humidity so it stores and matures properly.

Zoned Storage

Wine

Wine storage divided into separate areas, each set to the right conditions for different types of wine.
