We collaborated closely with the owners of this classical Georgian Rectory in Sevenoaks, Kent, to transform a disjointed series of spaces into a cohesive and functional part of the home. The project involved replacing and extending sections of the listed building to create a robust yet delicate aesthetic that harmonises with the main Georgian house. Interior design and project management were led by HSI Designs, with architectural expertise from Asorted Skills + Talents Architecture and construction by Knight & Edwards.

The clients had a clear vision of the look and feel they wanted to achieve, and we worked closely with them to design bespoke furniture that complemented the extension and the Georgian style of the home. Every detail was carefully considered, resulting in a stunning space that feels as though it has always existed. The aged oak floor, sourced from France, and the bespoke marble diamond tiles—precisely set out to frame the kitchen island—contribute to this timeless atmosphere.

The kitchen furniture features bamboo turnings and beads, crafted to the client’s exact specifications, and is hand-painted in Edward Bulmer’s Eau de Nile. Warmth and character are added by the Jamb London ceiling lanterns. La Place Antiques adapted c. 17th wall lights and Fior di Bosco marble worktops and splashbacks, which extend to create marble butler sinks that pair beautifully with the fully refurbished AGA. The pantry area incorporates stained oak and bronze wine displays alongside practical storage for glassware and crockery, while maintaining the soft, lived-in feel of the space.
